Always liked him.

It's incredible that he went undrafted and never played in the NHL until he was 26

Yep.. Incredible indeed. Very gifted player, did wonderfully well as a Dman despite his size.. He used his stick and positioning very well to compensate for his lack of size.

Makes my keeper choice easier.

Wings D core could look very different if Lidstrom retires.

Its been one of those long rumored and probably false things, but there has been rumblings that Liles would like to end up there. Wonder if the Wings would overpay for him if both Rafalski and Lidstrom retire? (say by giving up their 1st for Liles and Holos? )
